So this is Bella. This poor baby girl has a congenital disease that predisposes her to glaucoma. She came to Del Valle Pet Hospital this week and Dr.Conner determined that both of her eyes need to be surgically removed due to the painful pressure associated with glaucoma. Her parents couldn’t afford the surgery so they were going to euthanize, BUT my really amazing friend Kim Adams, has decided to not only be the technician for her eye (and spay) surgery on her day off, but she will be fostering Bella until she finds her forever home. Although Kim and Dr. Conner are completing the surgery on donated time, there will still be costs to the hospital, as well as costs associated with her foster care.

In order to help Kim and Bella, I have set up a campaign with Animal Lover Funding (an amazing organization…stay tuned for a Q&A with the CEO Lindsay Driver) to try to raise money for Bella’s surgery and care.
If donations aren’t a possibility, please take the time to share Bella’s story and campaign with your friends and family. Feel free to share any of my links from Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
